He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform   (Romans 4:20-21)

Just look at this man of faith! Read those verses again out loud. I love how the confidence builds as the verses continue:

1) he did not waver through unbelief
2) he was strengthened in faith
3) he was fully convinced

Abraham believed God, and God really did keep His promise. He will do the same for us.

I am so blessed to be able to share my own story with you - I hope it encourages you to believe God even more!

I had an opportunity to live in a house full of Christian girls, and the timing of it seemed so right. I knew God wanted me to be there. So, after some thought an a couple of calls, I committed to move in by January. The problem was, I had an apartment with two girls, an my lease didn't run out until July - six months away. I had to find someone to take my place, otherwise I'd be paying rent twice. It was a long shot, so I just gave it to God, and hoped I was making the right decision. Ok, God You got me into this, you better make it work, I know you will make it work. I packed one box.

Over the next three weeks I asked friends if they knew anyone who needed a place. There were a couple of leads, but they didn't work out. My roommate at the time , who was wondering herself who would be moving across the hall, said it didn't seem likely i's find anyone in time. She was probably right It's yours, Lord. All yours. I kept praying

It was four days before Christmas break, and I still had to pack and move. I couldn't back out - I promised I'd live there. So where is this girl GOd? There's not much time left. I believe you. Where is she?

Hey Ambassadors!
If you are not yet in the habit of reading God's Word every day, then this is the year to begin. Try reading a proverb each day of the month (there are 31 of them!) and one to three chapters anywhere else you'd like.
Keeping a little journal of what you read will help you focus your thoughts and remember what you read. It takes about a half, and you will be so blessed you did it!

The next three days were amazing. Saturday I went online and placed a roommate wanted ad. The first match I saw caught my eye. Her name was Maria. Hmmm. She emailed me Sunday, drove up from Miami Monday and signed my lease that afternoon. I moved into the house Tuesday. What could I say?

  God, you are AWESOME!

You know what blesses me more than anything? My roommate later said, still amazed, "I didn't think you'd find anybody. You didn't doubt for a minute, did you" Not this time. That made it more fun.

What makes a man so rock-solid sure that God will come through? King David said, "I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved." (Psalm 16:8) I must say here that neither Abraham nor David mentioned that they were confident in God.

The same goes for us. If God has pointed us down a path, we must trust Him to keep His promise and finish His work. James 1:6-8 tells us, "...he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. Let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." James doesn't tell us this to make us feel bad for doubting, but rather to encourage us to BELIEVE. The opposite of the warning is that he who believes God will receive what he needs. He is a single-minded man, stable in all his ways!

So how do we put our faith into action? "Leap of faith" sounds corny. How about taking a step. If you think God has told you it's time to move, start packing. (Even if you don't a buyer lined up yet!) A small voice might tell you to talk to someone. Be ready to introduce yourself. The bigger the obstacle, the more you ave to rely on God - only HE can do it. Give Him the opportunity to shine in your life! He is the only one who deserves the glory and praise. No matter what is going on around us, our confession must be, "Lord, I believe. Make it happen!"

He will make it happen, my friends. Oh, He will! I'm praying that each of you get to feel the rush of seeing God work in a big way this month. Never fear. Walk in love my brothers and sisters - you're the best!
