January 2006

Dear Christian Believers,

  God bless you and your families in the name of Jesus Christ.

  Another "new year" begins, and it seems as though we just started 2005. I told the Fellow Laborers not so long ago that 1 year for me, seems as the blink of an eye. I'm sure 2006 will move quickly and it will be filled with wondrous things, places to go and people to teach. More ministering, signs, miracles, and wonders. New believers will be born-again and will manifest the power of GOD in their lives. There will be new adventures with GOD, and new GOD moments to experience and treasure. There will also be new and old challenges because we all live this thing called life, and we live in a not so friendly world. Why do I say these things? Because that's the way it has been since the fall of man, and for us since we first began Christian Family Fellowship Ministry.

  In early December, a wonderful Christian woman gave me a card and in it were some scripture references from the Book of Job. I got inspired to revisit the Book of Job and once again read about his woes, and his deliverance. Chapter 29 caught my attention, because in it, Job was reflecting on the past about himself. He was remembering who the real Job was, even though he was dealing with a most difficult time of challenge in his life.

Job 29:1-6
Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,
2 Oh that I were as in months past, as in the days when God preserved [watched over] me;
3 When his candle [lamp] shined upon my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness;
4 As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret [intimate counsel] of God was upon my tabernacle;
5 When the Almighty was yet with me, when my children were about me;
6 When I washed my steps with butter, and the rock poured me out rivers of oil;

  Verse 6 has an oriental meaning: "washed my steps with butter" meant an abundance or prosperity; "the rock poured out rivers of oil;" refers to the oil gotten from the precious green oils. They would hew out a basin on a large rock, and with a smaller rock they would crush the olives, and oil would pour out into the basin hewed. This was a special oil used for anointing purposes. Job was remembering that he was a prosperous anointed believer of GOD. Job remembered the good times, when GOD'S blessings were upon his life. If you'll continue reading Job 29, Job remembers what kind of man he really was and can be again. There is a great lesson to be learned from how Job handled adversity and challenge, that came into his life. Through it all, he remembered how important GOD was to his life, and he remembered who he was. This surely had to give him hope for the future. Job remembered the goodness of GOD that he had experienced with GOD being involved in his life. The joy of family and prosperity GOD made available. The wisdom and counsel HE supplied when he looked to GOD, and his special GOD moments of intimacy. Job knew from whence his prosperity, wisdom, and strength came from. He remembered who he was with GOD in the forefront of his life. Perhaps we should all take a trip down memory lane. It is a new year. I don't know all the adversity and challenges you were faced with in 2005, but I we should take the lesson of Job, the lesson of remembrance, of the person we are with GOD in our lives. Remember what HE has made us in CHrist. remember what the scripture says we are and what the will of GOD is for our lives. III John 2 says... Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers. That is still the word and will of GOD for our lives and it behooves (is necessary) for us to remember it, and believe it.

  God continue to bless you on 2006, and pour out prosperity and health to you and your families. "Happy New Year"
