March 2002

Dear Christian Believers,
God bless you richly and abundantly through Christ.

Starting March 17th we are doing the "Living In God's Power" teaching series at the Christian Family Fellowship Center. Wayne and I are teaching live, Parts I, II, and V, also Jeff Rath is coming to teach his two hours of Part IV. There are several reasons why we wanted to make this series available. Number one is to teach foundational truths to the youth in our area before Youth Camp 2002. Other reasons were, to teach people involved with CFF in our local area that have not been taught this foundational material, and to reach the people in our communities that may be hungry for God's Word. We placed an ad in area newspapers, inviting them to be a part of "Living in God's Power." We are going to do the series over a 5 week period, 3 sessions per week, with each one 2 1/2 hours in length.

Isaiah 33:6
And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the Lord is his treasure.

It's NOT the wisdom and knowledge of this world, that is the stability of our times, BUT it's the wisdom and knowledge of God's Word that brings stability to our times. The word "stability" means ... "firmness, security, faithfulness." The wisdom and knowledge of God's word gives stability because it is faithful and it is true. There has never been a better time in history to make known the Word of God than right NOW. People have questions, worries, and concerns. The wisdom and knowledge of God's Word has answers for their questions and can relieve worries and concerns about their future. God's Word is our filter for all truth. It separates the chaff of this world from the truth and what is profitable. Webster's Dictionary defines chaff as ... "useless, worthless writing, talking, or actions." another definition is "radar reflectors, consisting of thin narrow metallic strips of various lengths and frequency responses used to reflect echos to confuse an enemy." An "echo" is "a repetition or close imitation." Without the knowledge and wisdom of God's Word man gets caught up in useless, or worthless writing, talking, or actions and is confused by repetition or imitations of truth. Our God is the God of truth and we can trust in Him and His Word because it is true and it is faithful.
In Psalm 31:5 it declares that God is . .."O Lord God of truth."

In Ecclesiastes 1:9(c) it says ... "and there is no new thing under the sun." NO new thing! If there is no new thing, then that includes "terror and man's inhumanity towards man." The methods of terrorism may change through the centuries, but the aim is the same: to terrorize people into being controlled and manipulated at the will of the terrorist.

In Isaiah 33:6 we read that "the fear of the Lord is his treasure."

Proverbs 19:23
The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

Evil is evil and no one person or nation is immune. Life in America has changed since September 11th. America saw first hand, evil at home and it's devastation. Now isn't the time to sit back, wait and wonder what's next. NOW is the time to take comfort in the wisdom, knowledge, and truth of God's Word and make it known to whomsoever will hear.
IS the Word of God the stability of OUR times, and IS it the strength of OUR salvation?
That's the question we need to answer for ourselves and then decide what WE are going to do or not do.

As for me and my house, we cannot help but speak those things we have seen and heard; and so we speak. We love you, and thank God for your lives.
