April 2007

  The vast majority of people in our country tend to sit back and let our government make all the decisions for their lives. They let the politicians and politics as well as the mass media have too much power and rule over what they think, believe, and act on or ignore. They prefer to just prance along in lollie pop land rather than being involved in what goes on in the direction of their on lives. We let our military do all of our fighting rather than getting into the fight. Instead of being involved in taking the responsibility for our own lives we look for ways to blame other if things aren't going right with our lives. It's time for all people to grow up, and most especially believers who call themselves Christians. Too many Christians allow the pressures and pleasures of this world tip them towards the flow of least resistance, which is the way of the world and it's masses. We didn't just get into a war since 911 happened. We've been at war since birth. We were born into a spiritual war because Lucifer rebelled against GOD and HE cast Lucifer and one-third of his angels out of heaven and unto this earth. It's refreshing when we see Christian believers not taking the passive road,' and involve themselves in the fight. Paul speaks of this fight towards the end of his life in;

II Timothy 4:7
I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.

  We must put on the whole armour of GOD, pick up the sword of the spirit, the Word of GOD, and do battle against GOD'S enemy and ours. Preach the gospel and be not afraid. Speak the Word of GOD with boldness and in demonstration and in things, and that they remain in good health.

Romans 1:8-9
FIRST I thank my GOD through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
9 FOR GOD is my witness, whom I serve with MY SPIRIT IN THE GOSPEL OF HIS SON, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

  Paul says, "GOD is my witness" - I am speaking the truth. "Without ceasing," means upon every remembrance (every time I think of you or you cross my mind) Paul prayed for the believers. He prayed for the elders, the leadership in the church. The catalysts that inspires us to do the will of GOD is HIS love.

  As Christian believers GOD'S love should be manifested so much in our lives, that when your name is mentioned the word "love" will always be involved in it's mentioning.

Romans 5:5
AND hope maketh not ashamed; because "THE LOVE OF GOD" is shed abroad in OUR hearts which was given unto us.

  GOD has given us HIS love to shed abroad - to the nations. "Love" makes the WORD go round. This is the first usage of love in the New Testament, and in it's first usage it tells us that love is to be spread abroad in out hearts. A few Sundays ago I taught from I Thessalonians 4 and 5, and in;

I Thessalonians 4:9-10 it says;
BUT as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of GOO to love one another.
10 AND indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more.

  The Thessalonians were loving others and preaching the gospel to others, and that was good, but Paul said you can and should do even more. Increase in your love, don't just stop in your area, but reach out beyond your borders and share GOD'S ;love and wealth.

I Thessalonians 1:8
FOR from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad, so that we need not to speak any thing.

How about all of us following in the steps of the Thessalonians and do some SOUNDING OUT!
