May 2005

Dear Christian Believer,

May God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior.

First I want to thank Bob Faller for writing the letter for the April Newsletter. Bob has been a faithful minister of the Lord Jesus Christ for many, many years in the state of New Jersey. His letter was not only reflective of his knowledge and belief of GOD'S Word, but also was indicative of his life and that of his family. Bob is faithful and fruitful in all that he and his family do. So Bob, thanks again for sharing your heart and GOD'S Word with us.
There are two verses in Proverbs come to mind as I think about our visit with Sangat Bains and the believers in India.

Proverbs 25:25
"As cold waters to a thirsty man, so is good news from a far away land."

We were refreshed by the works of believing, the love and hospitality of Sangat, his family, the leadership, and the believers in India. I have been home, (at this writing), almost two weeks , and I just sent another e-mail this morning to Sangat to express my love and thankfulness to him for taking such good care of us, and for the wisdom he used in planning our itinerary while in India. We truly enjoyed the goodness of the Body of Christ in a far away land. We were refreshed by the excitement of the believers and leadership to see the Word of GOD living in the hearts and lives of GOD'S people. At every fellowship meeting we did, the people would just keep crowding in because they wanted to hear the Word of GOD. They joyously sang praises and honor to GOD and HIS Son Jesus Christ. They would sing and clap their hands for at least an hour at the beginning of each fellowship meeting. They would boldly stand up to give their testimonies of how GOD had healed and delivered them. They love to tell what GOD has done for them, and this would go on for 1 - 1 1/2 hours until the leader would say OK that's enough testimonies. Next came the teaching of the Word of GOD for another hour or so, plus follow up exhortations to what had just been taught, and a short teaching on salvation with a call to accept Jesus Christ as Lord. After the teachings they would have the worship manifestations and prayers plus receiving the love offerings and gifts. Before the closing prayer an invitation was given to the people to come forward for personal ministering or special prayers. There were many first time people (Hindu in background) and they would come pouring up to the front to be ministered to or prayed for. Each full meeting we did lasted between 4 1/2 to 5 hours with the people sitting on the floor stacked like crayons in a box. In a space you think they might fit 80 people, they'd stack in 200 or more. They would sit there giving us their full attention for hours with little or no movement. People were hungry to hear GOD'S Word, and they desired to be healed and to be delivered.

Proverbs 15:30
"The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat (healthy)."

The light of our eyes rejoiced at the hungry of the people to know the One True GOD, and to receive their salvation and wholeness. Also to see the eagerness of the leadership to preach the gospel and minister healing and deliverance to all who sought their help. Many of the leaders were young in years, but they had great desire to take on the role of leadership. People, I have a good report, I have a great report. My report is that GOD'S Word is a lively Word, a living Word, and a powerful Word in the nation of India just as it is here in the USA, and everywhere else where The Word of GOD is preached, believed, and lived. Our eyes have been enlightened and we are thankful to have been privileged to make the trip to India. I am personally blessed to have been able to preach, teach, and minister to the people of India.
We have some tremendous pictures that were taken during our visit and Bob and Zeke Darnell are putting them together on a DVD for us to enjoy in the near future. Also Sangat gave me a number of video tapes that we are putting on DVD so we can edit them and put together a DVD video of our trip. Many have been asking me if there will be a sharing about our trip to India and visit with Sangat. Sometime soon Bob and Zeke Darnell and I will be doing a sharing here at CFF and show the DVDS we've put together. Also we are planning to make the DVDS available to those who would like to have a copy. I am also thankful that Dr. Bob Darnell and his son Zeke were able to travel with me. Bob was daily writing and sketching in his journal, recording our trip while Zeke was taking photographs. We have so much to share.

It's great to be home again.

John
