Then shall the King say to them on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

For I hungered, and you gave Me meat,’ I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger, and you took Me in,’ naked, and you clothed Me, I was sick, and you visited Me: i war in prison, and you came unto Me.’

Then the righteous shall answer Him, saving, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungering and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and take you in, or naked and clothe you? Or when did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you? ‘And the King shall answer and say to them,

‘Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, you have done it unto Me.’Matt. 25:34-40

“Oh Maaaaan! Why did you DO thaaaatT’ Todd paced around apartment B9, dazed, alternating between hiding his face in his hands and looking around at the smiling faces. His voice was cracking. “What did you have to go and do THIS fooor?” Was a 47-year-old man about to cry in front of a bunch of college kids? How long had it been since a dozen people had gathered to surprise him with a party? Maybe no one ever had. He had been homeless for 10 years. But not tonight! And with an address and phone number, he could actually complete an application for a job.

The month before he had re-dedicated his life to Christ, and Todd gave God the glory that night. Then he took out a deck of cards and entertained us with tricks the rest of the evening!

Todd is one of the fascinating people I’ve met since I started hanging out with the University Homeless Council. Every Friday night they offer a hot meal at 6 then a time of fellowship and Bible study at 7. An annual pool tournament raised the funds to pay for the apartment — that’s an amazing extra for the homeless people who need just that one little push to get back on their feet.

The real purpose of the Council, though, is fellowship. They want to build relation with the people who no one wanEs to spend time with, pray with them, love them, surprise hem.

Have you ever thought about hanging out at a nursing home for a day? Stopping to really talk to a homeless person? Is there anyone you can think of who just needs some attention? Find a group, bring a friend, try it out you’re representing Christ! Share the iove. .you’re the best! Do not forget to show love uvv uoungers:Jbr thereby some have entertained angels unawares. -Heb13:2
