Soon I will be meeting all of you and I
am very much looking forward for the time we will be
together.
The following are some testimonies and principles
of how people come to receive deliverance from God.
Declaring the absoluteness of the Word of God and His
wonderful works, which certainly inspires many to have
faith to receive deliverance, be saved and to come to
the accurate knowledge of God.
I visited Mohan Lal Sharma at Ashok Vihar, Delhi,
with Ashish and Rajan this Sunday 12.10.2003 to hear
how God's Word is moving in his hometown, Adhiaksh,
district Amethi, about 800kms East of Delhi the past
9 months period as he injured his leg and for the recovery
purpose he went back to his home.
He got into the Word about a year and half ago
and as far as knowledge of the Word of God is concerned,
he did not know much. While he was in Delhi, he was
busy with work, so he did not have time to attend various
Bible classes but he was faithful in attending fellowship
the last 6 months before he left for his hometown and
he knew the very basic Truth that God is able to answer
prayers and the necessity of sharing the testimony of
what God has done for him and what He could do for others.
He told me that the broken leg that he suffered
from auto accident got healed quickly as he believed
that God has healed him and he began to walk quickly
also. One day while he was walking in a market in his
hometown, Alam, a Muslim acquaintance, about 35yrs,
that is, the same age as Mohan Lal, a businessmen and
a leader of Muslim saw him and called him to come to
his shop. Alam asked him how quickly he was able to
walk, as Alam knew how badly he suffered injury. Alam
who also got into an accident a long time before him
(Mohan Lal) and suffered leg injury and said to him
that he (Alam) was still unable to walk due to pain
in his knees. Mohan Lal then told him that God was able
to heal his leg; the reason he was able to walk so quickly
was because of God and that he made known his request
to God with thanksgiving. He told Alam that if he wanted
to walk then he too should pray to the True God and
he would be walking right away.
The next day Mohan Lal saw Alam walking nearby
his house so he called him and asked him how come he
was walking, though Mohan Lal knew that God had healed
him, then Alam explained to him that he did exactly
what Mohan Lal told him to do, that is, to make his
desire known to God with faith and thanksgiving that
God has heard his prayer. He said that immediately after
he had spoken to God, the pain in his knee vanished
away and he was able to walk.
Alam then began to give his testimony to his
many Muslim friends that today, about 300 Muslims are
attending Mohan Lal's fellowship besides 200 or so Hindus
that also attended and daily the number is increasing.
I asked Mohan Lal what he did in his fellowship
as he was a new believer and while he was in Delhi,
he did not conduct his own fellowship even though he
witnessed to people a lot. He said that he had fellowship
daily in his home which is a big one and able to accommodate
a large number of people. He said that he began his
fellowship with prayer and then there was time for sharing
of testimonies that went on over one hour since many
people who attended the fellowship had testimony of
deliverance or answer of prayer from God that they shared
to people who attended the meeting.
We too have the time of sharing of testimonies
during fellowship here in Delhi and Mohan Lal too incorporated
it in his fellowship.
I believe declaring of God's great works to others
and praising Him during fellowship is one of the great
keys for God to add people to the fellowship
Acts 2:47:
Praising God, and having favour with all the people.
And the Lord added to the church daily such as should
be saved.
Sharing the great works
and deliverance from God and giving glory to God is
our praise to Him and this inspires people to believe
Him; shows people that indeed God is able.
After sharing of testimonies, he taught the simple
Word of God that he knew, that is, our God is Able that
nothing was impossible for Him to do for people that
we are to make request to Him with thanksgiving and
with faith then we shall absolutely receive the answer
to our prayers. He really believes these and so he taught
these Absolute Truths with all boldness to the believers
in his fellowship.
Then he closed his fellowship. (As he still did
not know how to speak in tongues, interpret the tongues
and prophecy which I thought he did but he knew he could
heal the sick people and cast out devils and knew God
could give him knowledge and wisdom, however yesterday
I lead Mohan Lal to speak in tongues, interpretation
of tongues and prophecy and shown him how simple they
were to manifest so that he could lead believers of
his hometown to do likewise)
There were many miracles and wonders that God
did through Mohan Lal and his brothers as well as many
deliverances believers in his fellowship received during
this past 9 months, however, I am writing some of the
testimonies that Mohan Lal shared with me yesterday.
One day during a fellowship, a high-ranking official
of police force from the district came to his house
with his security men with several vehicles accompanying
him.
They did not understand why the police force
came to his house; some said they came to arrest him
for conducting religious activities. Mohan Lal is a
man with courage and boldness and he told his nephew,
Bhola, to go to the entrance gate of the house and not
to let the police officer to enter but to ask him why
he came to his house. Bhola stopped the police officer
at the gate and asked him to whom the police came then
he said that he came to see Mohan Lal and said to him
that this was a personal visit and not an official visit
to see him. He said his daughter, 18 or 19 years old
girl, was blind and he heard from someone that Mohan
Lal could heal the sick and infirmity of people that
was why he came to see Mohan Lal. Bhola, the nephew
of Mohan Lal, who is 17 yrs, said to the high-ranking
police officer that if he desired deliverance from the
True God then he had to be humble that he should take
off his uniform that manifested the pride of the man-given
power and authority. The man immediately went back to
his car and changed his clothe and wore simple cloth
and entered Mohan Lal's house with his daughter. Mohan
Lal said to him that his daughter would immediately
recover her sight if he believed that God could do this.
The man said he believed that God could recover of his
daughter's blindness. Then Mohan Lal asked his daughter
how many fingers she saw while having his hand opened
with his five fingers. She said five. Then her father,
the high-ranking police officer gave thanks to God.
Mohan Lal told her to tell the color of his cloth then
she told the correct color. Since then this police officer
became regular member of the fellowship and he too gave
testimonies to many of the great deliverance and the
wonderful work that the True God did for his beloved
daughter.
One of the greatest voodoo magicians in his area
who cast spells, that is, to send devil spirit to harm
people by receiving payment from his clients also began
to attend Mohan Lal's fellowship because he understood
that the power that Mohan Lal had was greater as his
spell did not work but he was attacked by the devil
that he sent against Mohan Lal earlier. This made a
great impact on his community and got many to attend
Mohan Lal's fellowship.
A newly married girl, about 20yrs, who lived
near from Mahan Lal's home had problem of fits and in
order to cure her the family invited many voodoo priests.
Often these voodoo priests would beat the person to
take out evil spirits out so while they were doing this
exorcising ritual, one of the priests hit her at back
of her body and she fell down and stopped breathing.
The family member when they realized that she died they
cried loudly. Mohan Lal heard this crying and wondered
what was going on in this particular house so he proceeded
to go to the house. When he reached he saw many in anguish
and beating their chest showing the extreme sorrow.
Mohan Lal before entering further inside the house prayed
to God that He would give him the boldness and strength
to raise the girl from the dead. He confronted the voodoo
priests that they worked for wickedness to curse and
to take life but His God would give life and with inspiration
he put his hand upon the dead girl's head and as he
touched her she began to breath and all saw it and amazed
at the sight and the voodoo priests seeing it immediately
fled away.
Now this family and the girl too attend the daily
fellowship at Mohan Lal's home.
Mohan Lal and the believers in north India call me Guru
ji, which means, "a Teacher, a spiritual guide
or a master".
When they were coming to Delhi the believers
in his hometown said they also wanted to come with them
so that they could meet me as Mohan Lal and his brother
told them that they learned the Truth from Guru ji.
Mohan Lal told me that they wished me to visit
his hometown to meet the believers. I too wish to visit
them and teach and guide them so that they may be strengthened
and established in the faith and the Word of God to
grow mightily in his area and surrounding areas.
Again I realized the importance of teaching the
simplicity of the Word of God and giving of teachings
that inspires people to have faith in God that they
realize that God is indeed Able to deliver us from all
situations and in addition to this to have time of sharing
of testimonies of what our wonderful God has done for
us which inspires us to believe God and make our faith
strong.
There are many verses regarding speaking the
wonderful works and deliverance He makes available to
us but the following are some of them:
1 Chronicles 16:24:
Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous
works among all nations.
For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised:
he also is to be feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the people are idols: but the
LORD made the heavens.
Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and
gladness are in his place.
Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give
unto the LORD glory and strength.
Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring
an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD
in the beauty of holiness.
Psalms 9:11:
Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion:
declare among the people his doings.
Psalms 66:16:
Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare
what he hath done for my soul.
Psalms 73:28:
But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have
put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all
thy works.
Psalms 107:22:
And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving,
and declare his works with rejoicing.
