Dear Christian Believers,
Grace be unto you and peace from God our Father, and from
our Lord Jesus Christ.
Welcome to 2004, another
year to Live, to Grow, to Be Led, and to Minister With
God's Power. It's going be an exciting year of opportunity
for all of us to manifest God's deliverance and to help
other's do the same. In 2003 “Growing in God's Power,”
and the “Book of Ruth,” teaching series were
translated into Spanish along with the booklet, “Compassion.”
Also “Living In God's Power” was translated into
French and is now available in French. “Led By God's Power,”
the newest of the Power of God series was completed in
August and it, too will be translated into Spanish and
French in the future This year we will teach and tape
the final of the four “Power of God” series, “Ministering
With God's Power.” Today Wayne and I selected the
theme verses for “Ministering With God's Power.”
I Peter 4:10-11
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister
the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold
grace of God.
11 If any man speak, let
him speak as the oracles [utterances] of God; if
any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which
God giveth; that God in all things
may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise
and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
We've ALL received God's
gift of holy spirit, with ALL of it's abilities. Now God
says minister to one another with the ability we have
been given. Why? That God in ALL things may be glorified
in Jesus Christ. Wow! What powerful verses of truth and
exhortation. What good is a gift if you never use it?
Where is the thankfulness to the giver if you never use
t? God knew we needed HIS gift. HE knew that we would
need to MINISTER one to another, and HE desired to GLORY
through HIS Son the Lord Jesus Christ. God has given us
the power and the ability to minister one to another.
To do this we need to have knowledge of how to practically
apply what God has given us and then be willing to use
what we've been given.
In this new series we are
going to teach the doctrinal scriptures concerning this
topic and how to practically apply the knowledge we have.
We are also going to share with the students, victories
and testimonies of what happens when men and women minister,
“as of the ability which God giveth,”
and we believe that this will encourage others to minister
as of the ability given them. One thing I really learned
bigger than ever last year was the importance of “free
will.” It doesn't matter how much ability God has
given us, nor how much knowledge of the scriptures we
have concerning those abilities, unless we, by our free
will, choose to believe and act ... NOTHING is going to
happen. WHY? Because God NEVER oversteps our freedom of
will, WE must make our choice either to believe and act
on what God says OR we can believe nothing and do nothing,
with the result of receiving nothing. For example I was
involved in two different ministering sessions, each one
within 13 hours of the another. In the first one the person
involved came to me and asked for help. This person came
ready to receive, and in one ministering session she did.
The second person was reluctant and came because someone
else desired their deliverance. During a 3 hour ministering
session he never arrived at choosing to receive God's
deliverance in his life, and he left the same as when
he came. Thirteen hours before there was great joy because
the person received their deliverance. Thirteen hours
later there was sadness, because the second person literally
chose to hold on to their misery and pain and did not
want to be healed. I know that sounds crazy but it was
their free will choice, they were convinced in their mind
that they did not deserve to be healed until some one
else dear to them was healed first.
God's Word is powerful,
HIS gift that is within us is powerful, there is power
in the name of Jesus Christ, and when we choose to believe
and act to receive deliverance, that power is manifested,
healing takes place. When this happens something else
happens; the Word of God becomes living and real for those
people and also for the one ministering. The great truth
is that GOD has already delivered us from ALL THINGS through
our Lord Jesus Christ, WE HAVE DELIVERANCE. It is ours,
but we must live and walk in our deliverance, and we do
this by choosing to BELIEVE GOD and to ACT on HIS Word,
whether it be the revelation of HIS written Word, whether
it be HIS spoken Word, or whether it be by revelation
given you directly by way of the spirit.
As I stated at the beginning of this
letter, “Welcome to 2004,” it's going to be a
GREAT year.
