Greetings and God bless you in the wonderful
name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
In July/August we hosted Rev. Juan Cabrera from Venezuela.
In September Peter J. Wade from Australia was with us
for a weekend and he taught on Sunday September 15th.
In this month of October we will be hosting Sangat Bains
of India and he will be doing a number of teachings and
sharings during the week of October 7th-l4th. In January
of 2003 we have invited Godwin and Annick Alomassor from
Togo, which is a French speaking country on the west coast
of Africa. Godwin and Annick minister to a wonderful fellowship
of Christian believers there and have been receiving our
tapes and newsletters for sometime. Godwin says it would
very helpful if we could translate our Biblical teaching
series into French, so that's our goal and we are believing
to find a qualified volunteer. As you can see we've become
very international around here lately. The world is a
big place, but it's vastness is reduced as the Word of
God spreads throughout the world and brings us closer
together.
Last month our nation remembered the
tragedy of September 11th. It was called the day that
changed the world. Fear of death and destruction was promoted
around the world and the term "terrorist" became
a household word. BUT, Praise God! We don't need to live
and walk in fear if we will believe God and trust in Him.
Psalm 27:1-3:
THE Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I
fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; whom shall
I be afraid?
WHEN the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came
upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and felL
THOU6H an host should encamp me, my heart shall not
fear: though war should rise against me, in this will
I be confident.
When we make God our light and our salvation,
there is nothing to fear. When fear ceases, and the Lord
becomes the strength of my strength, my foes stumble and
fall, my heart shall not fear, and I am confident. Look
at all the MY's and I's
in these verses ... The Lord is MY LORD
- I shall NOT fear - HE is MY strength
- I shall NOT be afraid - MY
foes stumble and fall - MY heart does
NOT fear - I am confident
Psalm 37:39-40:
BUT the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: HE
is their strength in time of trouble.
AND the Lord shall help them and deliver them: HE shall
deliver them from the wicked, and save them because
they trust in HIM.
We became righteous through Jesus Christ
when we accepted him as Lord of our lives and believed
that God hath raised him from the dead. We became the
righteous of the Lord. The Lord is the strength of the
righteous; HE is our strength. The Lord is our help and
our deliverer, and the Lord will deliver and save us when
we believe and trust in HIM.
Let us never be afraid to live and walk
in this world. Let us never be afraid to reach out to
others whether they be of our nation or other nations
of this world. Let us encourage and support one another
in our unified effort to reach the world with the Word.
Let us be faithful and not fearful. Jesus walked this
earth fearlessly as he ministered in the highways and
by-ways of life. We can do the same. Let us manifest the
Christ in us and rejoice in our strength, salvation, and
deliverance.
Endeavoring to walk in HIS light and our salvation with
you,
John
