Dear Saints,
God bless you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ.
As this Holiday Season approaches, don't forget to count
your blessings. God has certainly given us so much to
be thankful for. God is our Father, and we are joint-heirs
with Jesus Christ. We know the Christ for whom Christmas
was named. He is in us, and that's our hope of glory.
I always enjoy celebrating his first coming, and I can
hardly wait until I can enjoy and celebrate his second
coming. Just as surely as he came the first time, he will
come again. The same God who promised his first arrival
also guarantees his second. What a day that will be! We'll
get to meet him in the air and forever be with him as
declared in
I Thessalonians 4:16,17. We'll be like him,
for we shall see him as he is, as promised in
I John 3:2.
As you sit around your holiday tree (or however your family
traditionally celebrates) opening gifts, don't forget
the greatest gift you've ever received -- everlasting
life and all that comes with it. Being God's kids we can
continue to unwrap and unfold the greatness of the life
God has given us to live. As you enjoy the delight on
the faces of your loved ones as they open their presents
and use them, think of the delight that God gets as He
sees the eyes of your understanding enlightened to what
you have as one of His children.
Enjoy the blessings and love we share with one another
during the Holiday Season. God has given us His best.
Let's not get caught up in the "busy-ness" and "stress"
and "confusion" that the world goes through during this
holiday time. Rather let's be a beacon of light to all
who see us enjoy it to the fullest. As I Peter 3:15
reminds us.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready
always to give an answer to every man that asketh you
a reason for the hope that is in you with meekness and
fear [reverence].
Our meekness to and reverence for God
sets us apart from the rest of the world. Let us not forget
to acknowledge him and share His goodness with others.
I love you. You are God's best.
Enjoy life in Him,
Wayne Clapp
