Dear Christian Believers,
God bless you and greetings in the name
of Jesus Christ.
I woke up this morning and as I looked out the kitchen
sliding door windows I could see "green" starting
to appear in the hay field out back. It reminded me that
spring would soon be here and how much I enjoy seeing
the green fields, the grass, and the green trees again
as they spring forth new life. Throughout the 59 years
of my life our weather has varied from year to year, but
the different seasons faithfully appear, disappear, and
reappear again. This got me to thinking of the Christian
believer and our faithfulness. We deal with a variety
of changes and challenges from year to year too, but our
faithfulness as saints of God should be as dependable
as the seasons. Faithfulness should be our domineering
Characteristic as Christians. The apostle Paul addresses
the books of Ephesians and Colossians to the faithful.
Ephesians 1:1
Paul and apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God,
to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful
in Christ Jesus.
Colossians 1:2(a)
To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ...
We should be faithful to speak the truth
and to be good witnesses for the Lord Jesus Christ.
Proverbs 4:5(a)
A faithful witness will not lie
II Corinthians 5:20 declares that we
are ambassadors for Christ. We should be faithful ambassadors.
Proverbs 13:17(b)
...but a faithful ambassador is health.
Why? Because a faithful ambassador brings
the message of the wholeness of God's Word to people.
In Psalm 107:20 it says that God sent his Word and healed
them and delivered them from all of their destruction's.
One of the ways God sends His Word is via faithful ambassadors.
Proverbs 25:13
As the cold of the snow [brought from the mountains]
in time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them
that send him:for he refresheth the soul of his master.
When we are faithful to deliver the
message of God's deliverance and salvation to people,
we refresh the soul of our master. Let us enjoy the new
life of spring, and the new spiritual life that springs
forth in people as we 'faithfully" deliver Cod's
messages of healing and deliverance. God has given us
so much and asks so little, let's be faithful in the little
He asks, refresh the soul of our master, and glorify our
glorious God.
Faithfully loving you in Christ;
John
