Dear Christian Believers,
God bless you and your family in the powerful name of
Jesus Christ.
On the first Sunday of January 2005, 1 announced
that we are going to make available a “Fellow
Laborers With GOD” program that will begin September
6, 2005. We have had several of the young adults asking
us about learning more of the Word of GOD and especially
how they can learn to lead and take on leadership responsibilities
in the Body of Christ. They want to know what the Word
of GOD says about being overseers in the Church. They
want to know how to win others to Christ, to start a church
in the home, to learn to study and teach. They have a
desire to help GOD’S people and to be a FELLOW LABORER
WITH GOD. For us to ignore, their desire to learn, and
our responsibility to teach others so that they might
teach others also would be wrong.
II Timothy 2:2
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many
witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who
shall be able to teach others also.
Those who decide
to be involved with Fellow Laborers With God, need to
know that we are not going to baby-sit them, nor are we
going to control their lives. They are responsible for
their own lives. They will never lead anyone until they
learn to led and control their personal lives. Wayne and
I along with others will be giving of our lives to teach
and train them to be leaders of GOD’S people. Life is
precious, so unless they are serious about being involved
with Fellow Laborers and learning, then they shouldn’t
waste their time or ours. Any times or dates that we set
up
for them to learn, such as classes etc., we expect them
to be there. We are not going to go looking for them and
beg them to come. Being a Fellow Laborer with GOD is serious
work, and will require sacrifice of your time and life.
Being ministers in the Body of Christ requires self sacrifice,
not only on your part, but on the part of your spouse
and children if or when you have them. You might as well
know this up front. If you don’t believe me, talk to Mary
Lou and my sons.
The Fellow Laborers will be responsible for themselves,
just like college. They must take care of their own expenses,
such as housing, food, auto expenses, insurance, and study
books or materials they need, etc. We are NOT charging
any tuition for this program. Some information we want
to lay out for the students are as follows:
- This will be a one year commitment
starting in September and finishing out the following
August.
- The students must be high school
graduates 18 years and older.
- They must be single or married without
children.
- Students will be exposed to as many
opportunities as we can make possible within the year
to learn to become leaders.
- We would like for them to come to,
“Family Reunion 2005” and plan to stay.
- They will get jobs in the area communities
to support themselves and we will start F.L.W.G. after
Labor Day.
- There will be a minimum of one training
session per week plus some weeks and some weekends will
be filled with special classes, the Sunday Morning fellowships,
and other teaching and training events.
- We want the men students sharing
apartments together, and the ladies to do the same.
NO guys and gals living together. We’d like to have
them live 3-4 in an apartment depending on how many
F.L.W.G. there are.
- If married, the couples will live
in their own apartment.
- One of our goals is that F.W.G. start
their own fellowship or fellowships.
- They will be taught the Word of GOD,
How to Work the Word with research reference books,
taught Old Testament History, Counseling, How to Pastor,
and many other topics that are involved in leading GOD’S
people. They will be taught both the apostle’s doctrine
and relieve practical experience in leadership.
- They may travel with Wayne and I
when we teach fellowships and sometimes they will teach
and lead in the meetings.
- They will be involved in the “Power
Of God” teaching series, and will learn how
to minister healing and deliverance to others. We want
them to be confident in the Word of GOD and in their
Ministering God’s power.
- They will be taught how to plan and
organize their time and lives, how to plan and organize
fellowships and other events. They will learn how to
budget and to handle their finances, they will be taught
about Marriage and family.
- At the end of the year they will
move ahead with their lives and where GOD leads them.
We will support their decisions and encourage them to
serve in the Body of Christ.
Anyone interested or who
have questions about F.L.W.G. please contact either Wayne
or myself at CFF Ministry.
