Dear Christian Family Believer,
God's blessings to you and your family in the powerful
name above all names, Jesus Christ.
Because of the POG II Conference in Orlando, Florida and
the falling asleep of our beloved Frank Connerty I decided
to combine the March I April Newsletter, rather than just
rush something out for March. Nancy Connerty has been
very blessed with the many cards, phone calls, and prayers
the believers have put forth in her behalf. She is thankful
to God for her 27 years with Frank and the love, and life
they shared together. Nancy is moving ahead with no regrets,
and being ever mindful and comforted by God's promise
of the "Hope"; When Christ returns to gather
together his saints, (those who believed in or on him,
according to the scriptures). Included with this newsletter
is a ["Tribute" written to Francis M. Connerty, "Believer"].
On Sunday March 5th the Trustees including Nancy Connerty
met in the original fellowship room of CFF and chose a
successor to Frank's position.
The Trustees have decided to place a Memorial Plaque in
the new CFF Fellowship Center in of honor Francis M. Connerty,
and we will do a public acknowledgment of his dedication
and service on the same weekend we dedicate The Fellowship
Center, June 27,1998
We asked Mr. Michael Bruns to become a Trustee of CFF
and he accepted with his wife Candy's blessings. Then
we cast our lots to choose the office of Secretary, Treasurer,
and it fell on 'Wilfred Bruns who has been a trustee since
the beginning of CFF.
We believe these two men have the heart, the humility
towards God, and the believing needed to successfully
fill these positions, and to help build the growth of
God's Word and extend it's outreach to the generations.
Jesus Christ said in the Gospel of John chapter
11, verse 25:
"....I am the resurrection and the life:
he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall
he live:"
Jesus proclaims that he is the resurrection and he is
the life, and then tells us in this same verse the "how"
of receiving this resurrection and life, "he that
believeth in me".
John 3:16
"God so loved the world, that he gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever "believeth in him"
should not perish, but have everlasting life."
The same truth is proclaimed in John 3:26, And in Romans
10:9,10 it tells us the how of "believing
in him".
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth
the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that
God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Then comes the great reality and promise of verse
11:
For the scripture saith, Whosoever Believeth
On Him Shall Not Be Ashamed,( Disappointed In Their
Expectation )"
Frank believed and so do we; therefore, there will be
no disappointment for Frank or us.
Believing In Him with You,
John and Mary Lou
