Dear Christian Believers,
A Spring greetings to you all in the powerful name
of Jesus Christ.
It is March 16th as I write this letter; and it’s
only five days until Spring. But today, I’m looking out
the window at 4-6 inches of snow that fell overnight,
and it’s still snowing.
Wayne and Nancy have not yet arrived at the office.
Probably due to the snow or else they are just plain tuckered
out from our weekend teaching trip to Las Vegas. We returned
home yesterday, and this week will be short because Friday
Wayne and I leave for Missouri to teach more on Ministering
With God’s Power.
Wayne and I taught every record in the gospels
that dealt with “Gifts of Healing,” including
“casting out devil spirits,” which is also “Healing.”
These weekends help prepare us for teaching the “Ministering
With God’s Power,” Series, which deals with the holy
spirit manifestations, “Faith, The Working of Miracles
and Gifts of Healing" that are listed
in,
I Corinthians 12:7-11
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every
man to profit withal (All). For to one is given
by the Spirit the Word of Wisdom; to another the Word
of Knowledge by the same Spirit: To another FAITH
by the same Spirit; to another THE GIFTS OF HEALING
by the same Spirit; To another THE WORKING OF MIRACLES
to another Prophecy; to another Discerning of Spirits;
to another Divers (Many) Kinds of Tongues;
to another The Interpretation of Tongues: But all these
worketh (Energizeth) that one and the selfsame
Spirit, dividing to every man severally (individually)
as he (the man) will.
Nine different manifestations
are listed, and we have taught six of them in the other
Bible series teachings. Jesus manifested Word of Knowledge,
Word of Wisdom, Discerning of Spirits,
Faith, Working of Miracles, and Gifts
of Healing during his ministry in the gospels. It’s
important that we study every record of healing in the
gospels, because if we are going to “do the works
of Jesus Christ,” we need to know and understand
how, why, when and what he did. The
word “gifts” in I Corinthians 12:9
is translated from the Greek Word "charisma“
and it means, “gifts of God’s grace".
They are gifts of grace from GOD to man. These gifts of
grace are given to us so that we can become more Christ
like and to be able to do the works that he did as declared
in John 14:12. The Gifts of Healing are
free Gifts of God’s grace. They are NOT EARNED,
but given because GOD loves You ALL of
GOD’S Gifts are given out of LOVE. Many
times people will come to us in need of ministering; they
even hesitate, because they feel they’re NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
Jesus didn’t ask people, “are you good enough yet?”
Jesus would say, “What would you have me to do for
you?" They would tell him and he would heal
them. Or like the woman with the issue of blood who just
touched Jesus’ garment and he said, “thy FAITH
hath made thee whole." Wherever and
Whenever people had FAITH or BELIEVED to be healed, no
matter what their situation, Jesus healed them. When Jesus
went to his home area the scriptures declare, “And
he could there do NO mighty work, save a few sick folk,
and healed them.” And he (Jesus) marvelled because of
their UNBELIEF, ... [ 6:5-6a]” Jesus marvelled,
he was Astonished, or blown away because of their UNBELIEF.
They knew about the mighty works wrought by his hands
and yet they wouldn’t believe. The result, only a FEW
sick folks were healed. The power of the Lord was present
to heal all who believed, but their unbelief dominated.
Wayne and I read a number of times last week, “Jesus
was Moved or Had Compassion on them and healed them.”
To have compassion for someone, you must Love them to
the point that you identify with their hurt or need, then
God’s love moves you to act towards or in behalf of that
person. It’s the Love of GOD that energizes our faith
or believing, whether you are the one ministering
or the one receiving. Sometimes we’ve
worked with people who desired to manifest GOD’S deliverance
in their lives, but they were having trouble. We discovered
that even though they knew GOD’S Word concerning healing,
they had something in their life that stopped them from
having faith to be healed. We’ve helped them discover
what their problem was, remove it and then healing takes
place. Like the Father that discovered that it was his
own unbelief that was stopping his son from being delivered.
He cried out, “Lord help mine unbelief!”
Jesus said, “All things are possible to him that believeth,
“The man said, “Lord I believe.” Then
Jesus was able to deliver his son. [Mark 9:26]
We are excited about teaching and taping this Bible series
on August 2-6, 2004 in Tipp City.
Love,
John
