Dear Christian Believer,

God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ Our Lord and Savior

As we are "Springing forth," let's consider our ATTITUDE. Webster's defines "attitude" as "a mental position" our mental positions are developed by what we allow to think, hold onto our minds, then it goes to our hearts, and then our attitude appears.

Proverbs 23:7a says ...
"For as a man thinks in his heart, so is he..."

If we hold on to Godly or Righteous thoughts and attitudes in our minds, they will eventually make their way into our hearts, and that's a good thing. On the other hand if we hold onto ungodly or unrighteous thoughts, then they also will make their way into our hearts. In this case it is NOT a good thing, because it will result in a "hardness of heart," towards others and even towards GOD, or HIS Word, or HIS Church. A hardness of heart is not a good thing to have, because it will not only affect you and your life, it will affect those whom you love. "Hardness of Heart" is - a hardness to the point of insensibility and lack of conviction. The same word in the Hebrew is used of the ear when the Word speaks of, "dull of hearing." Also of the eye when it talks about "the eyes getting dim." People that become hardhearted loose their sharpness, they miss things things that are right in front of their face. Jesus said that "hardheartness," was the reason men and women sought divorce in their marriages. When divorce happens it is a sad day for the couple and their families. Sadly also is that one or both are immediately judged by us, and the people that is just plain WRONG. My Bible says... "And when one member (of the Body of Christ) suffer, ALL the members suffer with it; or when one member be honored ALL THE MEMBERS REJOICE WITH IT."
[I Corinthians 12:26]

The Word of GOD is supposed to be our standard, our rule for faith and practice. Our attitude and behavior should be the result of our faithfulness to believe and practice living the Word of GOD in our lives. "Love," is the key ingredient that will govern our attitude and actions, if we allow the love of GOD settle and remain fixed in our hearts and minds. WE must CHOOSE what we want to allow to take up residence in our minds and hearts. Dr. Viktor (a Jew in a Nazi prison camp) lost everything he had, his wife, children, friends, home, and medical practice. He experienced every form of human degradation. Viktor watched his friends in the camp die. Others committed suicide, while others just lost their will to live and fell asleep. It was these two categories that really bothered him. Viktor made up his mind that he would never give up on life and die like the others did. Do you know what that was? HIS free will ability to choose his OWN ATTITUDE. Viktor made up his own mind as what he wanted to think and choose to hold onto in his mind. The main thing Viktor chose was LIFE, he was going to continue to live no matter what the circumstance.

Harvard did a study a few years ago on, "Peak Performance." The researchers discovered that "attitude was far more important than, intelligence, education, special talent, or even luck." Harvard concluded that 85% of our successes in life are due to attitude, while there 15% came from ability. Out attitude toward GOD and HIS Word is the key to being successful in our fulfilling the great commissioning of Christ, and to our being a healthy, prosperous laborer in GOD'S harvest. AND if we are successful in this endeavor, than surely we will succeed in any endeavor set before us.

Proverbs 4:4
He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.

Proverbs 4:20-21
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.

Let our Attitude be to retain the Word of GOD in our hearts, and don't let it depart from our ears and our eyes, so we will not become dull to hear HIS Words, and be able to always see HIS Works.

Loving you always, your brother in Christ,
