Dear Christian Believer,
God bless you and your families in the name
of Jesus Christ.
I recently received the finished DVD of our
journey to India. Zeke Darnell took photographs-during
our travels -and tie and his -father, Bob, blended the
photos - and music together to make an inspiring and spectacular
piece of work. I want to personally thank Bob and Zeke
for making this production available to all who would
care to have one. During our “Family Reunion 2005” Bob,
Zeke, and I will be showing the DVD “A Call to
India.” and will share our hearts concerning
our journey to India. Also Sangat Bains will be at” Reunion
2005” to share his thoughts of our time in India.
Many of you have been asking about when we’d be sharing
about our trip to India, so now you know what’s available
and our plans for sharing it.
What we hold or keep in our ‘? all aspects
of our lives and how we choose to live them.
Proverbs 23:7a
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: ...“
It’s important for
us to keep out “hearts;” to guard and protect
our hearts, and to be aware of what we are holding in
our hearts. Proverbs 25:15 says
The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels
of the wicked are deceit.
We want our hearts to hold that which is right, and not
allow deceit to infiltrate our hearts and thinking.
Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they
that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
If our “hearts” are
filled with the life of God and His love, then that is
what we shall speak, and that the fruit we will eat. The
words of our “heart” tend to give us a name,
and that’s the name we also tend to live up to, whether
it be good or bad. We have often heard or said, “he
or she sure has a good heart.” What do we mean when
we or someone else says this? We mean this person is kind,
loving, thoughtful, honest, etc. On the other side of
the coin you might hear, “he or she has a heart of stone.”
This means they are unforgiving, hardhearted, compassion
less, etc. The goal of every Christian should be a man
or woman after God’s own heart. To have a heart that manifests
His love and His goodness. It’s time that people see the
HEART OF GOD, and they will see it, when it is lived and
manifested in the hearts of His people. The world doesn’t
need to see any more “religion.” Religions of men can
be very mean, evil, fault seeking, judgmental, arrogant,
unkind, and self righteous. Wars have been fought over
and over again, and people slaughtered, all in the name
of religion. Religion pulls people apart and gets them
to fight among themselves ... Christians that manifest
the heart of God help bring people back together again,
promotes and inspires love, respect, and service to others.
God’s heart is ALL good; it is faithful, full of grace,
and merciful. That’s the kind of heart people need to
see, and have an opportunity to respond to. People won’t
run from this kind of manifested heart - they will run
to it. We need to have a heart check up from time to time
to see if it’s beating in harmony with God’s. God has
revealed His heart over and over again in His Word. If
we want to have the heart of God, if we are going to diligently
keep our hearts, then we must hold His Word in our hearts.
Psalms 119:2 and 10a
says…
Blessed are they that keep His testimonies, and that
seek Him with their whole heart.
10a With my whole heart I have
sought thee...
Let’s seek after GOD,
and His heart. Then manifest His Word and His heart so
others might see and know God as we do.
Proverbs 3:3
Let no mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about
thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart.
Let us be men and women
who live and walk with the heart of God - manifesting
His love and goodness - His kindness and compassion -
His strength and confidence. Let us get committed, and
stay committed to being our best for him.
I love you, and I’m thankful for your hearts and lives.
John
