Dear Christian Believers,
God bless you in the powerful name of Jesus Christ

John 17:4
I have glorified thee on earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

This was the testimony of Jesus concerning his life and ministry. He did the two most important things to honor his God and Father. He glorified the Father with his life and ministry, and he finished the work that his Father had given him to do. I think of the parable of the faithful servant in Matthew 25:21 when the master returns and says to his servant; “..., Well done, thou good and faithful servant....” And also in:

I Peter 2:21 (New International Translation)
To this were you called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example that you should follow in his steps.

What were the results of his steps? He glorified God on earth and he finished the work he was given to do. How did he accomplish this? With believing confidence and faith and by exercising his God-given power and ministry of deliverance. During his last hours with his disciples he told them they should use his name when they asked God for petitions. He gave them Power of Attorney to use his name. As believers on the Lord Jesus Christ we also have been extended the right to speak and act in the name of Jesus Christ.

John 14:12-14
Verily, verily, I say unto you, HE THAT BELIEVETH ON ME, (that’s us folks) the works that I do shall he do also, and greater than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
And whatsoever YE SHALL ASK IN MY NAME, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you ASK ANYTHING IN MY NAME, I will do it.

(Also in John 16:23b says I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall ASK THE FATHER IN MY NAME He will give it you.”)

We have the written testimony of Jesus that authorizes us to ASK whatsoever or anything in his name and it shall be done or given you. We have Power of Attorney to speak and act in behalf of the Lord Jesus Christ to glorify the Father and to do the work we’ve been given. Power of Attorney is “written authority with an attested signature - authorizing a person to act as the attorney or agent of the person granting the Power of Attorney.” We’ve been called to speak and to act in the name of Jesus Christ. NOW it is up to us to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and to have the confidence and believing faith to Ask and Act in Faith.

Ask like it says in James 1:6 “... let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.(Not Doubting) Jesus believed that he was able to speak and teach God’s Word with authority, he believed to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out unclean spirits, feed the 5000 with a handful of fishes and a few loaves of bread, to walk on water and calm the storm. Jesus knew who he was, and acted with the power God had given him. How about you and I, do we know who we are in Christ, and are we going to manifest and act with the power we’ve been given? If we are going to truly glorify God and do the work we’ve been given, then we must believe and act according to the words of Jesus and the will of God.
Loving you in Christ,

John
