Dear Christian Believers,
Greetings and God bless you in the name
of our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ.
YES! 2002 Youth camp was a powerful week for every one
involved and I believe one that will not be forgotten.
There were some miraculous healings during camp. One young
man was delivered from a stuttering problem. Another youth’s
ear drum was healed. Still, another girl was starting
to get a migraine headache during one of the teachings
when the girl next to her prayed for her and the headache
was gone immediately. There were things like this happening
all over the camp throughout the week. The youth became
witnesses of the power of God in action and were excelling
spiritually as Ambassadors for Christ.
On July 14th 1 had the privilege of
teaching at a “Day in the Word” in New Jersey.
Our theme was the same as Youth Camp, “Ambassadors
for Christ.”
II Corinthians 5:20
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God
did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s
stead, be ye reconciled to God.
When we confessed with our mouth the
Lord Jesus and believed in our heart that God had raised
him from the dead as it says in Romans 10:9,
we received salvation, we became Sons of God, and we became
ambassadors for Christ. The process that follows is to
learn what these things mean. What do I do with my salvation?
What do I do as a son of God? What do 1 do as an ambassador
for Christ? Jesus told his disciples Just before he ascended
into heaven in Matthew 28:19a ... “GO YE,
therefore, and teach the nations;” in Mark
16:15 ... “GO YE into all the world and preach the
gospel to every creature;” in Luke
24:47 ... “repentance and remission of sins should
be preached in the name his name among all nations;”
and in Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive POWER,
after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and You shall
be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea,
and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Ambassadors for Christ have been given the MESSAGE of
the gospel of Jesus Christ, his accomplishments, his death,
his resurrection, his ascension, and what all this means
to those that believe. Ambassadors for Christ have been
assigned the MISSION of delivering his MESSAGE to every
creature of every nation upon the entire earth. In the
gospels, when Jesus sent out the 12 and the 70 to prepare
the people for his coming to their cities it says, Jesus
gave them power to heal the sick, to cleanse the lepers,
and to cast out devil spirits. He gave them the right
and the might to go as ambassadors before him. GOD gave
Jesus the right and the might to complete his mission
and HE has given us the same to complete our mission as
ambassadors for Christ.
For many of the youth of YES! 2002,
they learned for the first time, about being ambassadors
for Christ. When I was in New Jersey many or most of the
people I taught already knew they were ambassadors for
Christ, they knew the message, and they knew the mission.
For them it was a REMINDER. Sometimes believers get pressured
or pleasured out of fulfilling God’s call of BEING
or FUNCTIONING as an Ambassador. I don’t know of
any Believers that readily forget that they are sons of
God, but far too many FORGET that they’ve been called
to be AMBASSADORS for Christ, and that’s not right.
Jesus told his disciples that they were the lights of
the world. Well, guess what? NOW we are the lights of
this world, and NOW is our time to shine. NOW is our time
to reflect the truth and light of God’s Word, the
gospel of Jesus Christ. NOW is our time to make known
the MESSAGE of deliverance and salvation though our Lord
Jesus Christ. REMEMBER who you are, and REMEMBER your
calling. At the end of our lifetime, let it be said of
you, and I; “They were a FAITHFUL Ambassador for
Christ.” To faithfully function as an ambassador
is to be in the way of Christ.
(Look what Paul wrote to the Corinthians in)
I Corinthians 4:17
For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is
my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall
bring you in remembrance of my ways which be in Christ,
as I teach everywhere in the church.
Lovingly reminding you, you’re
fellow Ambassador for Christ;
