Dear Christian Believers,
Greetings and God bless you in the powerful name of Jesus
Christ.
YES! 2004 Youth
Camp, WOW what a truly unbelievable week. Wayne
and I knew going into this camp that it had the potential
to be a great one, but until it was completed we could
have never expected it to be the mountain top experience
it turned out to be. The theme for the camp was “The
How Of The Nine,” and it dealt with the nine
manifestations, and most especially the “revelation and
impartation or power manifestations. The theme verse was:
I Corinthians 14:12 (Revised Standard
Version)
“Since you are eager for manifestations of the Spirit,
strive to excel in building up the church.”
This was our seventh Youth camp and the youth had
been eager to know more and more about the manifestations
of holy spirit, how they function, and how to operate
them all. We had consistently worked with them on the
worship manifestations for the past four - five years
and NOW was the time to teach the revelation and power
manifestations. I told the youth before we began to teach
discerning of spirits, and the power manifestations, to
heal the sick and cast out unclean spirits, that we’d
love to wait until they were 25- 30 years old, but the
devil doesn’t wait till your 25-30 years old to go after
you. He’s always after GOD’S children and HIS youth, thus
GOD’S young people need to be taught HOW to see what is
going on around them and to be knowledgeable of the devil’s
snares. The way youth are bombarded by the media today
is unbelievable. The music, movies, TV shows, video games,
the internet, everything is packaged to appeal to young
inquiring minds to tempt or pressure them to get caught
in the devil’s snares. Families and especially youth need
to be taught so they are able to separate truth from error,
so they can be victorious in this life. When we look in
the Bible we see examples of youth rising up to do the
miraculous. David for instance was a teen when he struck
down Goliath. Timothy was a youth when he traveled with
the apostle Paul as he preached and taught God’s Word,
and ministered healing and deliverance to people. Daniel
and Samuel had to rise while youths. Mary when told by
the angel Gabriel that she would be mother of the Messiah,
responded with “Be it unto me according to thy Word,”
and she was but a youth.
I John 14:12 says; “Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works
that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these
shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” It
doesn’t say, he that believeth on me when they reach 25
years old, THEN he shall do the works that I do and greater.
The age limit is WHEN they believe on him, no matter what
the age. Wayne and I along with Tom, Wilfred, Michael,
Kevin Guigou, Tonia and Jeff Shroyer are all excited because
we’ve seen the great desire in our youth to learn, more
of GOD’S Word, and to learn HOW to walk by the spirit
so they can be sharp and minister to others. They want
to preach and teach GOD’S Word, they want to heal the
sick and cast out unclean spirits and set people free.
They look forward to GOD working within them to do signs,
miracles, and wonders. They are Bold to Believe and Eager
Beavers. They want to Know and Go with GOD. I challenge
you parents to help your youth to learn what they need
to know, so they can become good ministers Jesus Christ.
The POWER OF GOD” teaching series are teaching tools to
help you learn and grow in your knowledge and understanding
of GOD’S Word as a family. But you must take the responsibility
for your own families. Our ministry is to the family and
we can help you if you will help yourselves. Let us work
together to strengthen GOD’S families, to manifest wholeness,
and bring deliverance to others.
