Dear
Christian Believer,
God bless you and your families in the name of Jesus Christ
I am writing this Newsletter
on Monday July 17th the day after "Youth Camp 2006."
The Camp was tremendous! I want to personally thank Kevin
Guigou, as the Spiritual Leader, and Tonia Shroyer the
Camp Director, plus Wayne Clapp and all the Department
Coordinators and their staffs for doing a terrific job.
The youths were also a great bunch. They came excited
and left far above more excited about GOD, His Word, and
all that GOD did for them during the camp. The theme was
...Fear NOT! There were 21 different states represented
plus 3 countries. They not only learned about who they
were in Christ and the abilities they had; they also manifested
the power of GOD in more ways than one. We look forward
to hearing about their exploits in the years ahead as
they continue to mature as Christian Believers in the
Body of Christ.
It is vital for GOD'S youth
to come unto the knowledge of THE TRUTH [GOD'S Word],
and to realize and understand who they are in Christ as
sons of GOD with power. We all have responsibility within
GOD'S Family and Household. GOD has things for us to do.
Jesus had to go to the Word of GOD to fully learn about
himself, who he was, and what he was to do. He also had
to know that he had authority and power to accomplish
what he what he was to do. It’s the same truth for us
today. Jesus had to know the Word of GOD if he was to
become the living Word. Jesus also needed others to teach
him, (his heavenly Father, Joseph, Mary, the local Rabbi,)
plus his own personal study. The Scriptures tell us who
we are, and what we are to do. When Jesus was 12 years
old he went to the temple at Jerusalem and he heard the
master teachers and asked them questions about what they
were saying. And those that heard Jesus were astonished
at his understanding and the questions he asked. By this
time Jesus already knew he was and his purpose; he was
about HIS Father’s business. He was preparing himself
for the word, the mission his Father had given him.
Luke 2:52
And Jesus increased (prokopto – to
make progress; to advance) in wisdom and stature
(maturity in mind and life), and in
favor with the people.
Jesus learned of the prophesies
he was to fulfill, and the mission he was to complete
for GOD.
Luke 24:44b says …
“… that all things must be fulfilled, which were written
in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the
psalms, concerning me.
John 17:4
I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished
the work which thou gavest me to do.
Jesus finished work GOD
gave him to do. He completed the mission he had been commissioned
to do. What about us? The youth at camp found out about
the commissioning of Christ, and have begun to see what
GOD expects of them. Also they know they are not alone,
for GOD has supplied what they need to do for the job
HE has given them to do. Jesus’ teachings were not received
by most of the religious leaders of his day and time.
Even in our day the religious leaders allow many things
to stand above, “It Is Written,” the revealed written
Word of GOD. They don’t allow the scriptures to speak
for themselves. They leave out words – they add words
to the Word – or change words in the Word to appease their
“own religion, or doctrine.” Because of this, the power
and life of the Word of GOD is lost to them.
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that
needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word
of truth.
We must hold fast to the
rightly divided, truthful, and faithful Word of GOD, because
the theologies, philosophies, and the traditions of men
will never recover others out of the snare of the devil
and his captivity, nor will they deliver us either.
We must all learn, and continue
to manifest the scriptures in our lives, so that we might
increase in wisdom and spiritual maturity, and find favor
with the people as our Lord Jesus Christ did. He completed
his mission and now it is our turn to complete the mission
Christ commissioned us to do, to be witnesses unto him
unto the uttermost parts of the world. Let us remain faithful
to our calling and enjoy our fellowship with GOD and one
another.
Love,
