2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure
word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take
heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place,
until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your
hearts:
Throughout all
ages, one thing has remained constant – God’s
Word has shined into the darkness and dispelled the darkness.
God has made His Word known several ways; the spoken
Word, the Word written in the heavens, and the Word written
on paper. The heavens and the earth were created by the
spoken Word of God.
Hebrews 11:3 Through faith
we understand that the worlds were framed by the word
of God, so that things which are seen were not made of
things which do appear.

God said it and
it came to pass. In the beginning, God created the heavens
and the earth by speaking the Word of God. In the New
Testament Greek, we have the word "logos" which means the spoken Word or utterance.
This was the original Word of God in the beginning – the
spoken "logos."
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word,
[logos] and the Word [logos] was with God, and the Word
[logos] was God.
You cannot separate God and his Word.
God backs up His Word. When God speaks His Word, He speaks
of Himself.
Psalm 138:2 I will worship toward thy
holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving kindness
and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above
all thy name.
God has even magnified
His Word above all of His name. God’s Word is like a check – it
is only as good as the name that is signed at the bottom
line. God’s Word is as good as His name. Of all of
the great things, that God has created the greatest is
His Word. In fact, without the Word of God, nothing would
have ever been created.
In the original paradise, God had a direct
relationship with Adam and Eve whereby God gave them the
Word directly by revelation. When Adam and Eve fell, they
lost their original relationship with God. But after the
fall, God did not leave them alone God then taught them
the Word written in the stars.
Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between
thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed;
it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Here in Genesis 3:15 God begins to teach
Adam the Word written in the stars. God showed Adam the
story of the redemption of mankind, the story of the second
Adam, the story of Jesus Christ. Man had the hope of the
first coming of Jesus Christ. Every night man could see
the story of redemption written in the heavens.
The constellations
Scorpio and Ophiuchus together are Genesis 3:15 written
in the stars. It shows The Son of God bruising the head
of the adversary and it shows the adversary bruising
Jesus Christ’s heal.
God could have never taught this truth of the Word written
in the stars and the redemption of man while Adam was still
in paradise, because it would have been cruel to show Adam
that he would fall would and need to be redeemed by the
second Adam, Jesus Christ. But after Adam fell God made
it known to mankind the story of Jesus Christ, man’s
redeemer so that Adam had hope for the future.
Psalm 19:1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm
of David. The heavens [continue to] declare the glory
of God; and the firmament [expanse] showeth his handiwork.
19:2 Day unto day uttereth speech, [speaks
prophetically] and night unto night showeth [sets forth]
knowledge.
19:3 There is no speech nor language, where their
voice is not heard.
Even to this day
the Word of God is written in the heavens, although most
of us don’t know how
to read it. The heavens continue to declare the story of
Jesus Christ.
The Word of God is written in the heavens.
All of the early cultures of the world knew this. Slowly
the adversary corrupted this truth into mythology to the
end that today a lot of this truth has been lost and replaced
with mythology and astrology. This mythology changed the
truth of the story of Jesus Christ into the lies of astrological
predictions. Even before written languages the Word of
God was written in the heavens. All of the early religions
of the world incorporated astronomy into their beliefs.
The Ziggurat from ancient Babylon is one
of the oldest know buildings. It was used for religious
astronomy.
In our day and
time, we have television, so people don’t usually
spend much time watching the stars. Before television
people had radio, and before that people read books.
But there was a time when there were no written languages,
that is when people would look up into the sky and they
could see the story of Jesus Christ written in the stars.
19:4 Their line [direction or measuring]
is gone out through all the earth, and their words [teachings]
to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle
[house, zodiac] for the sun,
The Word of God is what we use to measure truth and error
and here the Word of God is the standard that everything
is measured by.
19:5 Which is as a bridegroom coming
out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a
strong man to run a race.
19:6 His going forth is from the
end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it:
and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect,
converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure,
making wise the simple.
E. W. Bullinger in
his book "The Witness
of the Stars" claimed that the Sphinx was the representation
of the beginning and the ending of the zodiac. It has the
head of a woman (Virgo) and the body of a lion (Leo). It
has now come to light that the sphinx is much older than
the pyramids and that the head appears to have been recarved
at a later date, seeing how the head is smaller and less
worn as the rest of the body. It may be that the original
sphinx was just a lion representing the constellation Leo.
Here the pyramids
of Giza are arranged in the exact same pattern as the
three stars that make up Orion’s belt. Orion is
one of the easiest constellations to recognize. The ancient
Egyptians incorporated astronomy into their religious
beliefs. Even the false and pagan religions knew that
there was a spiritual significance to the constellations.
It would be very
exciting to be able to read the Word of God in the stars,
to learn more about Jesus Christ. But it would be even
better to have walked and talked with Jesus Christ personally
or to have heard the voice of God from heaven saying, "This is my beloved
Son, in whom I am well pleased." Jesus Christ studied,
believed, and acted upon God’s Word to the point that
he became the Word in the flesh.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh,
and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory
as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace
and truth.
Luke 24:32 And they said one to another,
Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with
us by the way, and while he [Jesus Christ] opened to
us the scriptures?
Walking and talking
with Jesus Christ would have been one of the greatest
experiences in the history of the world. No man has ever
mastered the scriptures the way that Jesus Christ did.
That is how he became the Word in the flesh. He was the
perfect man, the Son of God, he worked the Word of God
and then he made it his own and made his life line up
with the Word of God, to the end that he could say "not my will but thine, be done" Luke
22:42, "he that hath seen me hath seen the Father" John
14:9, and "I and my Father are one." John
10:30.
John 21:25 And there are also many other
things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be
written every one, I suppose that even the world itself
could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
Truly spending time with the Son of God
would be a monumental experience. His wisdom, his love,
and his teachings would be breathtaking to behold.
John 9:5 As long as I am in the world,
I am the light of the world.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the
way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the
Father, but by me.
Luke 10:23 And he [Jesus Christ] turned
him unto his disciples, and said privately, Blessed are the
eyes which see the things that ye see:
Luke 10:24 For I tell you, that many prophets
and kings have desired to see those things which ye see,
and have not seen them; and to hear those things
which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Moses, David, Elijah, and others desired
to see the things that Jesus Christ had made plain to his
disciples. When Jesus Christ was upon the earth operating
his ministry, it was one of the greatest times in all of
history.
It would be great to be able to read and
understand the Word of God written in the stars, to recover
the ancient truths. It would have been ever better to have
walked and talked with the Son of God Jesus Christ when
he was operating his earthly ministry. But there is something
greater available today.
2 Peter 1:16-21 For we have not followed
cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you
the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were
eyewitnesses of his majesty.
1:17 For he received from God the Father
honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him
from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in
whom I am well pleased.
1:18 And this voice which came from heaven
we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount.
1:19 We have also a more sure word of
prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as
unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the
day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy
of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
1:21 For the prophecy came not in old
time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as
they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
The written Word of God that we have today
is greater than reading the Word in the stars and greater
than being with Jesus Christ in the first century. We have
the written Word that details how to get born again, how
to operate nine manifestations of holy spirit, how to earn
eternal rewards, and more.
1 Peter 1:10 Of which salvation the prophets
have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied
of the grace that should come unto you:
1:11 Searching what, or what manner of
time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify,
when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ,
and the glory that should follow.
1:12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not
unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things,
which are now reported unto you by them that have preached
the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from
heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
Even the angels of God desired to look
into and see the greatness of the Word of God that is available
in this day and time. The grace of God in this day and
time is the greatest thing that God ever made available
to man. This truth was only hinted at in the Old Testament
and in the stars.
2 Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure

day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
Most of the truth
of the Word of God written in the stars is either lost
or misunderstood. A lot of the constellation’s names and meanings have been altered
by pagan mythology and astrology, to the end that very
few people know anything of the Word written in the stars.
Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of God and is
not currently walking around and teaching as he did in
the first century. Therefore by pure logic the way to know
God’s will in this day and time is the written Word
of God.
The written Word of God that reveals which
is the greatness of the grace of God in the New Testament
is a more sure word of prophecy than the Word written in
the stars, and it is a more sure word of prophecy than
hearing Jesus Christ himself speak the Word. In our day
and time, there is nothing more sure than the written Word
of God.
